FDC CVP1 CVP2 Set of 2 Autopost Covers Postally Used Mailed First Day Uncovers

Set of two First Day Covers for Scott CVP1 and CVP6, the 25c Autopost stamps placed on sale August 23, 1989 at Martin Luther King Station in Washington, DC. The labels are dated and numbered sequentially, with identifiers as to machine number and location.

As there were two machines put into use at the MLK Station, two labels comprise a complete set of the basic denomination. The label numbers are matched, and in this case bear the numbers 82-530 and 83-530. The results are First Day Covers that actually traveled through the mailstream. The final image shows close-ups of the labels and their respective postmarks.

The illustrations are from the items offered in this listing. The covers show minor wear as a result of their actual postal use, but otherwise are in good condition. See our other items for more interesting philatelic material including modern imperforate United States stamps, First Day Covers, souvenir cards and other items.
