Sylvania FDC303, TDA1540D, Recapped and Upgraded, Beautiful Piece

Here is my Sylvania FDC303. With 2X Philips TDA1540D DACs, Philips CDM-0 laser, recapped and upgraded, in excellent working conditions and sounds amazingly good too. This is the same model as Philips CD303 or Magnavox FD3030.

The player is very clean inside and out. Looks amazing considering its age and has seen very little use. There is a scratch on the plastic screen visible from some angles.

Please take a look at the photos. This is a very well designed, heavy and solidly built player on METAL chassis. Sensitive electronics is even shielded by the chassis metal covers.

Everything mechanical is made of metal. Only front panel with command buttons is made of plastic. This piece is made to last!! This player is fully recapped. All electrolytic capacitors are replaced with high quality brand names like Nichicon, Elna, Oscon, Panasonic, ROE.

The player comes with 2 x TDA1540D DACs that some audiophiles consider the best vintage DAC. This is with a right reason.

Comparing to even modern and a lot more expensive players this player offers hard to beat musicality and connection to the music. TDA 1540D is a high grade chip that comes in ceramic packaging. I have modified many players with Philips TDA1540 / 1541 DACs and agree that these DACs are the closest to analog sound as it could be. Laser mechanism is Philips CDM-0.

A piece of art for itself. Reliable, well built, real glass lens and the best laser reader in combination with TDA1540 DAC. Other mods include additional capacitance, low noise rectifying diodes. All capacitors around both TDA1540D are replaced with high quality film capacitors. This player has 2 of the TDA1540D DACs inside (one per channel).

Output OPAMPs are replaced with LME49720 top of the line part for this purpose. Output cable to RCA connectors is replaced with silver plated shielded cable with Teflon insulation. RCA connectors are replaced with high quality CMC gold plated connectors. I will make sure it is very well packed up for safe arrival. Thank you for your interest!!
